Kailash Gir Gushala

Nandi (sacred bull) as the gate-guardian deity of Kailash (sacred place), the abode of Lord Shiva. Similarly he plays an important role in our farm. Science says, a strong, high milk yield, diseases resistant and healthy calf is born when the father (bull) & mother belongs to similar features' bloodline and insemination happens naturally with complete satisfaction of the mother cow. We aim to preserve the soon to be extinct Indian Gir breed and named after this concept Kailash Gir Gaushala.

Gramfresh is the brainchild of Kailash Gir Gaushala. It made a special place in the industry for sourcing organic farm-fresh seasonal products with the highest nutritional value from a non-polluted rural area to urban citizens.

Late Dr.Jayantilal Bhatt spent his entire life uplifting poor rural people. His strong belief in concept of such a farm which can provide opportunity, inspiration, and motivation to the rural community especially farmers where they can directly sell their product to consumer and is an inspiration for us.

The cows at KGG are Indian Gir cows. They give less milk than buffaloes or imported Jersey cows but the milk is very healthy. Indian cows have a hump. This hump has a vein called the Surya Kethu Nadi which draws Vitamin D from the Sun and delivers it in its’ healthy milk.

KGG Indian cow milk has therapeutic qualities that help in cancer, diabetes, obesity, PMS and migraine attacks, and it’s good for people of all ages.

The Indian cow milk is closest to mothers’ milk. Since the Indian cow milk has a natural sweet taste, there is no need for adding additional sugar. The curd from the Indian Gir cows has even been known to reduce diabetes. We use only one breed, Gir breed. It has more Ayurvedic properties than any other Indian cow.

We deliver in glass bottles, we don’t use any plastic anywhere. All the cows are on our farm. We don’t get any milk from outside from any other farm. We don’t pasteurize the milk.

Researches have shown that milk obtained from pure indigenous breeds like Gir, Sahiwal etc (known as Bos Indicus) have A2 allele of gene. At our farm each and every cow was hand-picked so that only the finest made the grade. So the milk we offer comes only from purest Gir cows and is 100% A2 milk.

There are companies selling HF & Jersey cow milk as A2 Milk on high rates stay alert... but It has both A1 & A2 Beta-Casein. Only indigenous breeds produces A2 Milk in India.

The Klimom cows get a healthy balanced organic diet. While milking, twice a day the cows are fed 5 kgs of ‘daana’, a ration of Chunni of Tur Dhal and Channa Dhal, Jaggery and Coconut Cake. Twice a day the Klimom cows are given 8-10 kgs of seasonal dry fodder, wheat straw and whole maize. They are also given an unlimited feed of fresh of organic green grass through grazing in the fields, acres of organic green grass grown.

We also give them Ayurvedic herbals like Shatavari, Ashwagandha, Jivanika etc. With such balanced diet and plenty of exercise, the cows deliver milk which is pure and healthy.

1. We follow strict management practices at our farm to ensure high quality milk produced from healthy animals. There are mainly four factors to be considered: Animal hygiene, Milking hygiene, Equipment hygiene & Processing hygiene.

2. Our desi cows are washed regularly and udder is washed with warm water and wiped before milking.

3. We also make sure milk is not transferred into multiple storage containers to avoid contamination.

4. Chilled and pasteurized milk is filled into Sterilized Food-grade Glass bottles and delivered to our customers in refrigerated vans or insulated boxes on bikes while maintaining 4 degree Celsius temperature throughout.

5. We also thoroughly wash and sterilize our milk containers.

Nope. Our milk comes from cows NOT treated with rBST or rBGH. Instead, we treat them with respect and dignity. And the finest alfalfa.

The cows are milked twice daily and receive personal attention to make sure that their health is maintained. We keep personal records of each and every cow to ensure they are healthy. A local veterinarian provides all the required preventative health measures.

They have covered shelter to rest or sleep and are untied for their pleasure and comfort.

2. The KGG Farms are 3.5 acres big with huge spaces for cows to exercise and graze

3. We do not separate the bull, the cow and the calves. They all live as one happy family. Just 25% of the cows in KGG farms deliver milk. Yet, the remaining 75% are also looked after very well.

4. While milking, 25% of the cows’ milk is first fed to the calf. The young calves drink their mothers’ milk for a full 8 months. Hence it is milk from satisfied mother and called as Ahinsak Happy Milk.

5. The milking is done by hand; not by mechanical pumps.

6. While milking, we play soft folk music which calms and de-stresses the cows.

7. To look after the cows we have a traditional Gujarati Kathiawadi family of cowherds. Their profession has been to look after the cows for generations.

8. The KGG gir cows get a healthy balanced organic diet.

9. The Indian Gir cows live in KGG farm in an ocean of love and care. The bulls mate with the cows and deliver natural off-springs.

10. At KGG Farms, the day starts with aarti and puja. The cows are anointed with turmeric and they wake to the sound of soft music.Every weekend Gayatri Yagna is performed.

11. KGG Indian cow milk has therapeutic qualities that help in cancer, diabetes, obesity, PMS and migraine attacks, and it’s good for people of all ages.

Milk yield in Desi Cows is very less (about 5-6 litres per day) as compared to high yielding (about 30-40 litres per day) cross bred/imported breeds. KGG (GramFresh) Farms has pledged to take up this challenge and bring back the ancestral belief and tradition of drinking Desi Cow milk back.

Since the milk is not pasteurized. It is simply chilled at 4℃. Hence it is advised that you boil the milk once within 30-60 minutes of receiving it.
